she/her/hers
Hi and welcome! In my work as a psychologist, I center non-judgmental curiosity, cultural humility, deep empathetic listening, creativity, warmth, and humor. I am dedicated to empowering and helping people live fuller and more enriching lives through increased self-compassion and insight. I have a strong foundation in relational psychodynamic therapy but my approach is supportive and collaborative, adapting the work to the unique needs, preferences, and goals of the individual(s) sitting across from me.
I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Virginia Tech. Throughout my training and practice, I have worked as an individual, couples, and group psychotherapist within a variety of settings including an outpatient addiction program, a queer community clinic, a child and family practice, and a college counseling center.
I specialize in providing LGBTQIA2S+ competent and affirming psychotherapy, with a focus on gender queer/trans/non-binary adolescents, adults, and the people that love them. Some other areas of specialization and/or interest include: relational difficulties with partners/family/friends, borderline personality disorder, neurodivergence, codependency, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, identity exploration, existentialism, and grief.
