Sabina Rose Badola, LGSW

she/her

Welcome! Let’s first take a moment to acknowledge that you are contemplating or have decided to come to therapy, which is in itself a courageous first step. A little bit about me professionally: I primarily work with adults undergoing life transitions and experiencing anxiety, depression, and substance use concerns.

I have a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of St. Thomas and have worked and volunteered in the mental health field since 2019 in a wide variety of settings and populations, with a particular passion for walk-talk therapy – a holistic pairing of therapy sessions while strolling outdoors – to simultaneously enrich both the mind and body and experience the healing benefits of nature.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, interpersonal, and relational. What does all that mean? Above all, I aim to foster a relationship that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and friendly and I often explore the way our emotions, experiences, and surrounding environments affect our present-day patterns, thoughts, and behavior.

Are you struggling to trust yourself with a big decision, tune into your intuition, develop community and connection, or communicate with loved ones? My goal as a therapist is to help you strengthen these areas and empower you to be authentically yourself. What’s unspoken can become unmanageable and I’ve witnessed firsthand the freedom that can come from saying the hard things out loud. As your provider, I will support you, encourage self-reflection and processing, challenge and hold you accountable, simply let you be heard, and above all root for you.
A little bit about me outside of work: Minnesota is home, though I have spent time living and traveling out of state and abroad. A few things that bring me joy are gardening, pickeballing, my cat Mowgli, and (let’s be real) reality tv.

I’d be happy to hear from you! Please clarify if your interest is in walk-talk therapy specifically and do not hesitate to reach out if I can be of service or with further questions. It’d be an honor to hear your story.
