Hello! I am glad you found your way here. In order for therapy to be effective, it is important to find a therapist who feels like a good fit for you. I work with both adolescents and adults with a range of mental health concerns. In our work together, we will explore your current experience and seek to identify patterns or factors that may be contributing to various levels of discomfort, distress, or dissatisfaction. I hope to support you in addressing these unhelpful patterns, developing internal resources to identify and build the life you envision for yourself, and gaining increased insight and confidence into who you are as a person.
Much of my experience and current work is with adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and substance use concerns. I work to support adolescents in navigating these mental health concerns coupled with the unique challenges of identity development, difficult family dynamics, peer relationships, and/or significant life transitions. I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment to explore strengths and struggles, develop strategies to support emotional regulation, and promote self-awareness, self-acceptance, and identity formation.
In my work with adults, my current focus is primarily with young adults working through depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or relationship issues. When possible, I like to incorporate movement and other creative/ expressive outlets in my work with both adolescent and adult clients if it seems to resonate.
I completed a Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health at the University of Minnesota in 2018. I currently hold licensure as an alcohol and drug counselor in the state of Minnesota, and have specific training and educational background in addiction studies, co-occurring disorders, adolescent development, and body-oriented psychotherapies. I have experience providing individual and group therapeutic services in residential and intensive outpatient treatment settings, where I worked with adult and adolescent clients with mental health and substance use concerns.
