Faiza Mohamed, MA

she/her

Hi, I’m Faiza! I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, accepted, and supported—without judgment. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you can show up exactly as you are, knowing you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. My approach to therapy is person-centered and psychodynamic, which means I value getting to know you beyond your symptoms.

Together, we’ll explore the experiences that have shaped you, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build on your strengths to help you move toward the life you want. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, searching for clarity, or hoping to better understand yourself, I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.

I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, multicultural concerns, and addiction. My passion for mental health has grown through working with adolescents in a juvenile detention center, children with autism, and members of the Somali community as a case manager. These experiences have taught me that every person has a unique story, and I strive to meet each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors on walks, and practicing self-care. These moments help me stay grounded and remind me of the importance of slowing down and caring for ourselves—a value I hope to encourage in the people I work with as well.
