she/her

Engaging in therapy is an intentional act of caring for ourselves that is both deeply tender and undeniably brave and can offer a transformative space for exploration, awareness, growth, and healing. As a therapist, I take seriously the privilege and responsibility of being part of that space with clients. I work with adults navigating a wide range of experiences, including trauma, personality disorder diagnoses or traits, depression, anxiety and panic, ADHD, autism, relationship struggles, and life transitions. I have a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ folks and caregivers in the early years of parenting.

My approach is holistic and integrative. I draw primarily from psychodynamic, existential, emotion-focused, and person-centered traditions. When relevant, I also incorporate concepts and tools from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and expressive therapies. I also bring a systems perspective, working with clients to explore how family, relationships, culture, community, and history shape both their inner and outer worlds. In addition, I have studied and trained in the Enneagram of Personality. When appropriate, I have found it to be a helpful tool in conjunction with clinical modalities that offers an understanding and shared language with clients that can destigmatize and depathologize our humanness, cultivate self-compassion, and help guide our work together. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in harm reduction, and I believe in the importance of honoring circumstances, choices, and readiness while promoting well-being in ways that are meaningful to each person.

Clients often find me direct, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe humor, curiosity, and compassion are essential elements of therapy. Above all, I strive to create a safe and authentic space where clients can be vulnerable, challenged, and supported in their growth.

I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker, practicing under supervision. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Saint Thomas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Gender & Women’s Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato. When I’m not working, I spend my time learning new things and collecting old things, reading, writing, baking, listening to music and podcasts, exploring nature with my family, going out to eat and seeing movies and live shows.
