As a therapist, I practice with the mentality that ‘all parts are welcome.’ Every person has many unique ‘parts’ based on their experiences, natural temperaments, and relationships with others. Each of your parts is important and deserves to be heard, even the parts you struggle with or cause problems in life. In therapy, we will build a relationship so that you feel safe to talk about all of the parts that make you, you. It’s my job to be curious, notice patterns, and process alongside you. Together, we will work towards developing inner harmony and self-awareness.
I have clinical experience working with teenagers and adults wanting to work through trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, identity development, self-compassion, and problematic sexual behaviors. My approach is informed by a variety of modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Somatic Therapy. When meeting with me, you will notice that social justice, feminist theory, and humanistic values are fundamental to my work. With an extensive background in early childhood education, I also use attachment theory and child development to help me understand how early life experiences impact your present-day life.
