They/He

So many of us move through our lives like we’re walking through a familiar room in the dark. We feel our way through routines, relationships, and roles, only to keep stubbing our toe on the same painful patterns.  Therapy, to me, is about gently turning on the lights.  It’s a chance to slow down, to notice what’s here with compassion, to understand how we got here, and to explore new paths forward that don’t hurt so much.

In my work as a therapist, I believe deeply in creating a space where every part of you is welcome. Whether you’re navigating emotional/behavioral challenges, identity questions, relationship struggles, or simply trying to understand yourself more fully, my role is to walk alongside you, offering curiosity, care, and support as you explore what it means to be you.

My practice is rooted in psychodynamic principles, and incorporates dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and sandtray therapy as needed.  I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, chronic stress, behavioral impulsivity, pervasive shame, trauma, and relationship issues.  Additionally, I am very passionate about working with neurodivergence as well as LGBTQIA+ communities to navigate the intersection of identity, belonging, and wellbeing.

I graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a Masters of Social Work, and have worked in DBT intensive outpatient as well as preschool-aged day treatment settings.  I also hold unique training and experience facilitating therapeutically applied role-playing games for adolescents.  Outside of work, I enjoy rock climbing, meditation practice, Dungeons & Dragons, video games, and spending time with my cat!
